The Health Shop is a service run by the Health Service on the grounds that prevention is better than a cure. It's there as a needle exchange and provider of free contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancy and transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
They offer free and comprehensive advice about all sexual health issues. For gay men in particular, they offer supplies of free condoms and lube, and also offer a course of injections for Hepatitis B.
They are also the institution who run the GAI project.
